She huddled under a borrowed blanket\u2014two-layered fleece with snowflakes\u2014with her knees drawn to her chest, watching from a distance as Drew talked to our werewolf visitor. She jerked, startled, when my fingers brushed her shoulder, gaze snapping toward me in a heartbeat.<\/p>\n
She sagged as our eyes met. \u201cOh,\u201d she said softly. \u201cSeer, it\u2019s you.\u201d<\/p>\n
I inclined my head. \u201cYou look like you\u2019re about a thousand miles away.\u201d<\/p>\n
\u201cI don\u2019t deserve your hospitality,\u201d she said softly, her gaze drifting back toward the pair she\u2019d been watching. \u201cBut I\u2019m grateful that Phelan and Neve offered it.\u201d<\/p>\n
I shrugged and sat down beside her. \u201cYou saved his life. We owe you that.\u201d<\/p>\n
\u201cI owed that much to Seamus,\u201d she said, resting her chin on her blanket-shrouded knee. \u201cI did love him. I do love him. I don\u2019t know that they believe me.\u201d<\/p>\n

I dreamed about them, had visions about them. I knew that they were important.\u201d I stared at her for a long moment, at her pale face and sad eyes. \u201cI never saw a vision of you, though.
