She took a deep breath and exhaled it slowly, not looking at anyone or anything but Phelan.<\/p>\n \u201cDon\u2019t let her anywhere near him,\u201d she said firmly. \u201cNot unless you want me to kill her myself. Understand?\u201d<\/p>\n \u201cCrystal clear,\u201d J.T. said. \u201cAnd for the record, I don\u2019t blame you one bit.\u201d<\/p>\n Cameron cast one last look at them before he and J.T. walked away. Neve reached over to touch Jacqueline\u2019s arm.<\/p>\n \u201cHe\u2019ll be fine, Jac,\u201d she whispered. \u201cYou\u2019ll see.\u201d<\/p>\n \u201cI hope he is,\u201d Jacqueline said. \u201cBecause I don\u2019t know what I\u2019ll do if he\u2019s not.\u201d<\/p>\n She sucked in another breath and went back to tending her lover\u2019s wounds, her expression a mask to hide her suffering.
