\u201cI don\u2019t think we\u2019ve exactly named it beyond calling it home<\/em>,\u201d Thom admitted. \u201cI gave it a really terrible name once, when we were facing down some raiders, but it was just something to call it in the heat of that moment.\u201d<\/p>\n She smirked. \u201cWhat was it?\u201d<\/p>\n Thom smiled sheepishly. \u201cIt was really bad.\u201d<\/p>\n \u201cNew Hope,\u201d J.T. said, shaking his head. \u201cCould\u2019ve been much worse than that, Thom.\u201d<\/p>\n \u201cCould\u2019ve,\u201d Thom agreed, grinning at J.T. before he looked back at Lara. \u201cWhat about here? Still calling it Holland?\u201d<\/p>\n \u201cActually, we were thinking about calling it Hope,\u201d Lara said. \u201cOf course, that was before most of us got wiped out.\u201d She shook her head and sighed. \u201cI begin to wonder if naming places is still important.\u201d<\/p>\n \u201cIt is,\u201d Cameron said quietly. \u201cIt has to be. It\u2019s not enough that we keep a sense of self, but we need to have a sense of place\u2014of where we come from, where our home<\/em> is.\u201d<\/p>\n Lara arched a brow. \u201cIt needs a name for that?\u201d<\/p>\n \u201cI feel like it does,\u201d Cameron said quietly. \u201cA place can only be nameless for so long. I mean…eventually, people begin to ask where you come from. You could say \u201cOh, I live in the ruins of the old university north of here.\u201d Or you could give a name. A name feels more permanent.\u201d<\/p>\n \u201cMore real?\u201d Seamus suggested.<\/p>\n Cameron looked at him, then nodded slightly. \u201cYeah.
