Neve shifted slightly, nestling herself more comfortably against him, then said quietly, \u201cYou know, when I first met you, I wasn\u2019t sure if you were meant for someone else.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Cameron blinked, stomach twisting for a moment before it settled. \u201cWhat do you mean?\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWell, I thought maybe you and my cousin Aoife\u2014\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201c<em>Her<\/em>?\u201d Cameron blurted. \u201cSeriously?\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Neve choked on a laugh. \u201cWill you let me finish?\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIf you were about to say what I think you\u2019re about to say, I\u2019m not sure I want to.\u201d Cameron squinted at her, making a face he knew must have rather eloquently expressed how he felt about a possible pairing with her cousin. Though his encounter with her had been brief, it had been more than enough for him to know that she would<em> not<\/em> have made a good match. Neve stared back at him, clearly struggling to keep a straight face as she looked at him, a grin tugging at one corner of her mouth.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cShe\u2019s not\u2014\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cDon\u2019t even start to tell me that.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>She didn\u2019t bother to stop herself from laughing this time, grinning and shaking her head. \u201cCam.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cYou were about to suggest that some sort of destiny might have tried to choose her for me.
